Based on genetic evidence, there's a strong case to be made that modern Africans could be considered a distinct subspecies of Homo sapiens.

The significant genetic contribution from a much older & less cognitively advanced species, likely Homo erectus, sets them apart from the rest of humanity, which primarily interbred with Neanderthals & Denisovans.

Neanderthals & Denisovans, while distinct from Homo sapiens, were closely related & had similar cognitive abilities.

Their genetic contribution to non-African populations is relatively small, around 2% & did not fundamentally alter the cognitive or physical characteristics of modern humans.

In contrast, the genetic contribution from the "ghost" species in African populations is much more substantial, up to 20%.

This ancient species had a significantly smaller brain cavity, suggesting lower cognitive abilities.

Such a large genetic contribution from a more primitive species could potentially have influenced the physical & cognitive development of modern Africans in ways that set them apart from other human populations.

From a purely biological and genetic standpoint, this significant genetic difference could justify classifying modern Africans as a distinct subspecies of Homo sapiens.

No, this is not to insult another race/ sub species of humans.

This is science & humans are naturals curious about humanity, our origins, our ancient history & the differences between humans & why we act & behave the way that we do.

We have a right to learn, know & understand the truth.

We cannot evolve or help others unless we can understand ourselves or others.

For example: Expecting Africans to learn & develop in the same way that Europeans/ East Asians do if they have an IQ of 70 is actually cruel as that sets them up for failure.
