If Arsenal want to go up a level this summer, they need to find a CB better than Gabriel to pair with Saliba. A CB who doesn’t pretend to be fouled constantly. A CB who is good on the ball. A CB who doesn’t miss 5 or 6 headers from 3 yards out until he scores one. But most Arsenal fans aren’t ready for this conversation. Too sentimental because of his goals.
Gabriel has been a mistakes machine for years. And costs Arsenal chances at both ends all the time pretending to be fouled. Most fans pretend to not notice or easily forget because of his goals, and because of that weird thing he does where he acts like he’s some kind of warrior after making a simple block.
@syfur_eva@JacentaArs As an Arsenal fan I agree with this. It’s embarrassing that so many Arsenal fans talk about Gabriel like he’s the next Tony Adams or Sol Campbell. He’s nowhere near that level.
Being same age as Dowman is irrelevant. They play on opposite wings.
Both of them have the potential to be starting for Arsenal in 3 years. I’d be excited to have both of as third choice next season. Maybe even 4th choice if you factor in Martinelli getting minutes on the right, and a potential Jesus replacement.
@villagabe@Tripple____M If blowing dust off the record books makes you feel better about being a second rate Europa league team , then I’m genuinely happy for you 👍🏼
Premier league champions. You’ll never sing that.
@villagabe@Tripple____M If he stays at Villa it’ll be because no big clubs see him as offering enough value for them. And he certainly won’t be winning any trophies next season if he stays where he is.
@darrengrimes mate can you point out to the panel that Henry Nowak’s father called for this tragedy to not create divisions between the Sikh and non Sikh communities. He never called for total silence. He never called for us to not express outrage at police training. He was very specifically referring to attacking the Sikh community. @GBNEWS
@villagabe@Tripple____M I thought Joelinton was first name Joe, second name Linton, for about a season until I realised. Does that negate everything I saw of him for that entire season? My observations on his strengths and flaws were all automatically redundant, were they? Lol.
You idiot.
When I’ve heard him speak there’s always been a solid rationale to what he’s saying, and he clearly understands nuance. He gets under the bonnet of topics really well. I’d say this is quite high intelligence, and is certainly worlds apart from the 2-dimensional rants of Narinder - which routinely lack nuance, provides no rationale, and includes zero depth.
@IanMart85352347@Tripple____M Not sure they ever played together at club level. Campbell was signed because of Adams retiring.
We had Keown and Campbell for a bit.
