@_Hero_Hei_ Same. He's the one that got me into theory crafting for the show. I still call Shay D. Mann "Toothless Hooligan" cause of him. lmao
It's crazy that I've been watching since 2018. Part of me misses the old face cam vids haha. Still haven't missed a vid though.
@_Hero_Hei_ Most of my enjoyment from the show doesn't really come from the show itself anymore. I mainly enjoy fanfics that expand upon the world and lore, fan projects like Fixing RWBY and various fan animations, and vtubers reacting to RWBY for the first time. lol
@_Hero_Hei_ Still remember watching RWBY as it aired starting with the Red trailer, following RWBYtubers that were passionate about the show whose videos I still remember 10+ years later. JAC OneManBand, MuffinManDan, and following you back when you were a RWBYtuber before the Vic stuff.
@_Hero_Hei_ I really did pick the perfect time to go all in on retro game emulation, and just older games in general. Got a beefy mini PC to install Batocera on, and it can run everything up to Wii U and even some Switch. I'll never run out of games to play, even if I don't buy new ones. lol
@ChibiReviews Nothing new in the industry, but it was very blatantly put on display in 2019 when this shit went down. All you need to do, if you've forgotten or have yet to see it, is go back and look. VAs openly expressed their hatred for the fans. Don't give them your money. Don't forget.
@Leaflit It's gotten so bad that I started downloading the Japanese subtitles from https://t.co/9PUmKeEiFS and using Grok to translate them. Can drop in the English subs as well just so it gets the timing and format correct. The result is surprisingly good and no skibidi slang.
@ToxicViper0115@AGamequeen If you wanna rely on "vibe subbing" to experience a show like a fanfic, go ahead. I, and many others, are over it. AI is already good enough to put out more faithful, apolitical, natural sounding results, and only getting better. I'm sure CR's rep will improve any day now. lol
@ToxicViper0115 I personally don't care that much. It's not as if Crunchyroll hasn't been caught using it before. If I can use it to get subs free of Gen Alpha brainrot slang, I will.
@ChibiReviews • Put both files into Grok and ask it to accurately translate the Japanese script, then replace the English translation with it.
•Take the new sub file and add it back into the episode with MKVToolNix.
It may not be perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than butchered subs.
@ChibiReviews Tried this recently. Hope it can be a help. If you get your anime through alternative means:
• Extract the English sub file with Subtitle Edit.
• Find the Japanese sub file from here: https://t.co/19A8MwoRD2

@TheDesertLynx@GrapheneOS@nikitabier After that, I installed X from the Play Store on a vanilla Android phone, signed in, created a passkey with Proton Pass. Then on my Graphene phone, I set Proton Pass as my default password manager, opened the patched X app, and Proton prompted me to sign in via passkey.
@TheDesertLynx@GrapheneOS@nikitabier I actually managed to login to the X app recently on GrapheneOS. I got the Piko pre-patched X APK from here. https://t.co/JpRjgMUC5c (Not sure if that had anything to do with it working, but it's nice to have options to block ads and stuff.)
