Hal was completely right to crash that car and anyone calling it “overreaction” is just uncomfortable with how accurately this show understands him.

John Stewart has always been the politician of the Corps. He smiles, he measures every word, he plays the long game, and the second someone like Hal starts lowering his guard, John tests how far he can push it. That “It must be Macon, like Hector said” wasn’t a slip. It was a calculated lie delivered to a man who has already been betrayed by Sinestro, the Guardians, and half the people he’s ever trusted. Hal’s “yeah…” isn’t just disappointment. It’s the exact moment he realises John is already positioning himself as the better lantern.

Hal doesn’t crash the car because he’s a prick. He crashes it because he’s finally treating John’s ambition as a real threat instead of pretending they’re partners. The people clutching pearls over this scene are the same ones who want Hal to stay the charming, golden-boy flyboy forever. This version of Hal is colder, more damaged, and far more interesting. If that bothers you, you’re not watching Lanterns. You’re just waiting for John to get the ring and become the protagonist

Quand j'ai été faire piquer mon chat qui avait 17 ans à cause d'un putain de cancer de merde.
Je me suis pas autorisé à pleurer parce que c'était le chat le plus solide que j'ai jamais connu.
Alors même qu'il était atteint d'un cancer affaibli, je ne pouvais plus manger.
Il restait le patron il donnait des leçons aux autres chats.
En un miaulement il est faisait terre, en un coup de patte il les mettait par terre.
Donc je l'ai juste mis dans mes bras comme je le faisais toujours et j'ai laissé partir lentement pendant 10 minutes à s'endormir.
Absolument rien n'a battu ce chat il était bien trop fort pour ça.
Même malade à ce stade il restait le plus fort.
