Before you pay for any phone, take 5 minutes and check this. Get the IMEI, then verify it online to confirm it’s not blacklisted or stolen.
That small check can save you from a big problem later.
In China, billionaires can't influence the policies. They're never above the law but in America, the billionaires control the policies because they can have their ways with the lawmakers.
You usually see American presidents fight other nations economically by placing tariffs on their products and services or completely banning them from importing into the US.
Why's so?? It's because the American companies don't want to compete. They hate competition because it will affect their profits. So they want to keep the competition down for more profits.
Meanwhile in China, things are cheaper there because there's a fierce competition going on there. This is why Chinese products like phones, cars etc, are cheap. Even American companies can't compete in the Chinese market.
If a capitalist country hates competition, what will you conclude when you find out that they don't really care about democracy anywhere else in the world, but are fighting for their selfish interests??
A MIT professor gave a 1-hour lecture in 2019 that has 18 million views.
He died 5 months after recording it.
It was his final gift to the world.
Patrick Winston taught at MIT for 50 years.
The smartest engineers on earth sat in his classroom.
And he spent his last lecture teaching them the one skill their degrees never covered.
How to speak.
15 lessons that will change how you communicate forever:
Never open with a joke. Your audience is not ready to laugh yet. Open with a promise of what they will know by the end.
Your ideas are like your children. You are too close to them. What is obvious to you is invisible to everyone else. Explain the obvious.
The 5-minute rule: the first 5 minutes of any talk determine whether people will listen for the next 55. Spend more time on your opening than anything else.
Repeat your most important idea 3 times in 3 different ways. Once is never enough.
Build a fence around your idea. Tell people what it is NOT before you tell them what it IS.
Verbal punctuation. Pause. Let the idea land before moving to the next one.
Ask questions nobody will answer. Then wait 7 seconds. The silence is not awkward. It is processing.
Never read your slides. Your audience can read. They cannot listen and read simultaneously.
Use the board not the slides. Writing forces you to slow down. Slowing down forces clarity.
Inspire before you inform. Nobody learns from someone they are not inspired by.
End with a contribution not a summary. Tell them what you gave them. Not what you said.
Never say thank you at the end. It is weak. End with something that lands.
Stories make ideas stick. Data makes ideas understood. You need both. In that order.
The quality of your communication determines the quality of your ideas in the eyes of the world. Not the ideas themselves.
Practice is not preparation. Practice IS the skill.
Patrick Winston understood something most people spend their entire careers missing.
Your ideas are only as powerful as your ability to transfer them into someone else's mind.
You can be the smartest person in the room and be completely invisible.
Or you can master communication and make average ideas feel like breakthroughs.
He chose to spend his last lecture teaching this.
Watch it tonight.

“If you look at the people we call leaders—go to the Senate, go to the House of Representatives—why should a senator or a member of the House be a praise singer for anyone? Why are those in government not able to face their boss and say, “Oga, this is the truth”? You have people who are supposed to represent the values of society behaving like illiterates. By the time you become a governor, you should be beyond looking for money. Most of Nigeria’s ruling class lack values—they are too cheap. If we truly want to fix this country, we need a principled ruling class. The ruling class needs to have values—values beyond stomach infrastructure.”

A Muslim young man in the U.S. went to pray in his workplace storeroom.
His colleague, misinterpreting his bowing (Sujud/Ruku) as a gesture of deep respect toward her, reacted by kissing him!"
The Holocaust they don’t teach you about:
On this day in 1885, King Leopold II of Belgium declared Congo as his personal colonial possession and proceeded to commit horrific genocide upon the Congolese people.
8-10 million Congolese died during ‘personal rule’, with violence as a mechanism of organising production. Through mercenaries, prisons, forced starvation, and executions, Leopold II turned Congo into a concentration camp, using Congolese as the labour to extract vast profits from the rubber quotas imposed on the population.
The profits were used to build Belgium’s grand buildings and landmarks, while Congolese were exterminated systematically through forced labour, mass killings, and famine.
While the metropole of Belgium’s empire flourished, while Congo became an extraction machine. Workers who failed to meet the quotas were mutilated, having their hands cut off. These workers included children.
Villages were punished collectively. Women were held hostage until men delivered rubber. Failure meant mutilation, flogging, or execution. Terror was the incentive structure. Pain replaced wages.
The Congolese people never saw the profits, only the oppression of being used as slave labour. Belgium has still not offered a formal apology to the Congolese people for the genocidal atrocities committed against them…
Because doing so would acknowledge a fundamental truth; that European capitalism was not born from ‘innovation’, ‘free trade’, or ‘liberal values’, but through barbaric destruction of global south nations and the looting of their resources for profit.
