The Kenya Rugby Union U16 and U18 regional trials will kick off in July across all seven regions as part of the Kenya Rugby Union’s Age Grade and Development Plan. The trials will identify and select the best young talent to represent their regions at the National Sevens Circuit, providing a key pathway for the next generation .
Tomorrow, we converge at All Saints Cathedral from 4:30 PM to stand with the family of the late Robert Aringo “Majei”, a true servant of the game whose passion and dedication touched many lives.
Let’s come together, celebrate his legacy, and show our support for his family during this difficult time.
Let’s do this for Majei.
May his soul rest in peace. 🕊️
The 2026 National Sevens Circuit has received a major boost after SportPesa unveiled a KSh 34.14 million sponsorship package, doubling last year’s investment and reaffirming its commitment to the growth of Kenyan rugby. The partnership will support teams, clubs, media coverage, fan experiences, and increased prize money as the 25th edition of the circuit kicks off on 25th–26th July with the Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru before travelling across the country and culminating with the Christie 7s in Nairobi in September.

After six months of growth, learning, and rugby, Pass It Back Season 2 officially came to a close today at Chavakali High School in Vihiga County.
With over 400 young athletes and more than 20 newly recruited coaches involved, the season has been an incredible journey. Beyond developing rugby skills, the program has focused on transforming lives, instilling important values, and equipping participants with essential life skills that positively impact their communities.
Implemented in partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union, ChildFund Rugby, and Rugby Africa, Pass It Back continues to be a powerful platform for empowerment through sport.
Congratulations to all the newly recruited coaches and athletes, and best wishes as you continue your journey both on and off the field.
Kenya Rugby Union Director of Rugby Paul Odera shares the importance of Coaching as an aspect of sports development.
This has been one of the cornerstones of the Pass it back initiative ensuring the game grows beyond the pitch.
Coaching is one of the most crucial aspects of sports development. In the Pass It Back program, the impact has gone beyond just the players. The initiative has played a key role in building and nurturing coaches by equipping them with both on-field and off-field skills.
Through continuous training and mentorship, coaches have gained valuable knowledge in leadership, communication, and player development, enabling them to better guide young athletes. As they help nurture the next generation of talent, they are also growing personally and professionally, creating a lasting impact within their communities and the sport as a whole.
Join us today as we celebrate the completion of Season 2 of Pass It Back Kenya.
After a successful six-month journey, it all comes down to today as participants gather for the End-of-Season Competitions at Chavakali High School in Vihiga County.
A day to celebrate growth, teamwork, and the positive impact of rugby in our communities.
