Bandits now go live on social media to mock authorities and terrorize citizens, despite the billions budgeted for security every year. Nigeria is bleeding, yet insecurity remains alarmingly high.

Meanwhile, many of those in power and their families enjoy safety and comfort abroad while ordinary Nigerians live in fear. We keep hearing about huge security allocations, but the question remains: where is all the money going if the situation keeps getting worse?

VeryDarkMan has been one of the voices drawing attention to these issues and encouraging citizens to hold leaders accountable at the ballot box in 2027. Now, there are talks about attempts to silence him. If insecurity is not being adequately addressed and those who speak up are being targeted, what message does that send to Nigerians?
