🇮🇳 SMVDSB Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

CEO, SMVDSB, Shri Sachin Kumar Vaishya hoisted the Tricolour at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra, and reaffirmed the Shrine Board’s commitment to further strengthen the pilgrim facilities and infrastructure.

Highlighting key initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, women empowerment, environmental conservation and sports, the CEO called upon the youth to actively contribute towards achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat at 2047.

Commemorating 150 glorious years of Vande Mataram, the celebrations featured an impressive march-past, vibrant cultural performances and felicitation of outstanding staff and students.

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has crossed the 50 lakh pilgrim mark on June 22, 2026, registering an increase of over 10.86 lakh devotees compared to 39.84 lakh pilgrims during the corresponding period last year.
This remarkable growth reflects the unwavering faith of devotees and the continuous efforts of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Lt. Governor, JK-UT, Shri Manoj Sinha to provide safe, seamless and pilgrim-friendly facilities.

Today dedicated the new Vaishnavi Bhawan at the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi to the devotees. The new facility will significantly enhance pilgrim accommodation capacity at Bhawan and provide modern, efficient and comfortable amenities for devotees visiting the shrine.

Hostel Mess Facility for Athletes Inaugurated at Shrine Board Sports Complex

Katra, April 04: In a significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure and athlete welfare, a modern hostel mess facility for athletes of the Shrine Board Sports Complex, was inaugurated at Ashirwad Complex, by Sh. Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB).
The newly established mess facility will cater to over 100 athletes from various sports disciplines, providing them with hygienic, nutritious, and balanced meals. The menu has been scientifically designed by a qualified nutritionist of the Shrine Board to meet the dietary requirements of sportspersons and enhance their performance and overall well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEO highlighted that the initiative reflects the Shrine Board’s continued commitment to promoting sports culture and ensuring holistic development of athletes. He emphasized that proper nutrition plays a vital role in improving stamina, recovery, and performance, and the new facility will greatly benefit the resident athletes.
The CEO further stated that this initiative has been undertaken under the visionary leadership of Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon'ble Chairman of the Shrine Board, who has consistently stressed on developing world-class sports facilities and nurturing young talent.
The athletes and coaches expressed gratitude to the Shrine Board for providing such a dedicated and well-equipped facility, which will significantly contribute to their training and performance.
With this addition, the Shrine Board continues to expand its efforts in creating a comprehensive and supportive ecosystem for sports development in the region.
