I’ve spent very little time covering NASCAR. But I always gravitated to his energy and personality. Truly sad news. What a driver.

IMSA joins our motorsports family in mourning the loss of Kyle Busch.

What a loss for the motorsports world. Love him or hate him he was an incredible talent and incredibly entertaining both on and off the track. Unfortunately we only saw Kyle compete in one IMSA race, the 2020 Rolex 24 where he’d finish 9th in the GTD class with AIM Vasser Sullivan.

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.

Looks like @IMSA is going to be the first to test out @DAYTONA's new lights at the '27 Rolex 24 with the project targeting completion in Jan. Notably it looks like (despite the renders) the new lights are being installed on the oval AND the road course with the release stating:

"Daytona International Speedway will install LED lighting across all existing oval track high mast pole-mounted fixtures, the road course, infield, pit box and emergency lighting systems. The project will also feature LED RGB accent lighting on track light poles synchronized with the caution light system"
