Bishop Zondo has lost his final appeal attempt at the Constitutional Court to have Judge Mosopa recused from the case.

As from the 16 - 27 November 2026 Bishop Zondo has to face the Judge or choose to close his case without taking the stand.

The man of God is facing serious cases from multiple rapes and sexual assaults. The charges stem from accusations brought forward by members and former staff of his church. Complainants alleged that the abuse occurred under the guise of private prayer sessions, spiritual counseling, or healing rituals with some testimony indicating he used church branded holy oil or miracle water during the ordeals.
