We're excited to show off something that we've been working on: the Bitcoin Note. The Bitcoin Note is a cash instrument that is backed by Bitcoin via multisig.
How does it work? 👇
In honor of the 15th anniversary of the genesis block, The Bitcoin Note is now available to order once again.
Head to https://t.co/EKcW15PzHG to place your order while in stock.
@SITOSHI13 Our app is open source and the claim after 2029 can be made “offline” (our servers aren’t involved)
So grab a copy of our github app repo on a thumb drive for your grandkids and you should be set.
"Como vc usaria Bitcoin sem internet/energia?"
Tem várias respostas pra essa pergunta, mas tem uma delas que eu quero relembrar: Dinheiro físico é uma necessidade.
Empresas vão competir pra fazer a melhor solução de papel moeda lastreado em Bitcoin, como a @offlinecashco fez
@dddloiola It’s possible that your network is blocking connectivity. That error is most likely because you removed your phone from the note too soon.
Place the note flat on a table and put your phone on top, the camera near the chip, then tap scan.
@JustinCBram If the offline scan did not work I would recommend rebooting/removing phone case. Is this only for one note or all?
If all notes, best guess is a network issue — e.g. VPN connection or a CDN blocking the connection.
@_t_o_o_r_a_j_@lightcoin Good question! If you build the app yourself, you can verify that you are adding entropy to the local key on the note. The script never allows our key to spend the Bitcoin using just the server key — also verifiable with the client code.
Received an order of https://t.co/wX0vR6FOp9 today 🤩 Cool way to physically transfer BTC offline with low double-spend risk. Comes in currency-grade paper note form factor. Details about the security model are on the website: https://t.co/EimZDzNvPM
