She told me once — when she was manic, no fear. After, only fear. Can't go out alone now. Always needs someone.
I glanced at her. Distant. Intense. Somewhere else entirely.
I didn't ask what she was thinking. She would have said nothing.
We went back inside.
5:15am. End of nightshift in an inpatient psychiatric facility. I asked my healthcareworker to step outside. We breathed in the dew together.
It was a two way, outside the building. I saw cars, auto, and bikes crossing. Bangalore doesn't sleep. We are always going somewhere.
@ACTFibernet is truly the worst internet service provider. Been 2 weeks of raising a request!! 4 phone calls and no response or action from their end. Never seen such apathy towards service users.😓😒
@ACTFibernet is one of the worst internet service providers I have seen. We lodged a request for shifting our router internally in the house. Yet to even receive a call back from those people. Let alone shift the router. No internet for 2 weeks and more 😭😭 #ItsAWonderfulLie
As Jean Dreze had noted: "How would you feel if a family were to let its weakest members starve, even as the house’s granary is full to the brim? That is what is happening in India today!"

"They have taken away our crown. We don't want repeat of 90s but the situation is such that guns will be picked on ration cards"
Open spaces (Poromboke) are neither empty nor unused. They lend ecological resilience of landscapes. This Poromboke dance spotlights the predicament facing a city that has converted its commons to buildings and garbage dumps. @tmkrishna@kabervasuki

I wrote an article about public shade in #Karachi, in which I argue it's an urban planning obligation in a city where summer heatwaves regularly kill dozens and occasionally hundreds of the city's most vulnerable populations: the working class, the elderly, and the shelterless
One should read everything Romila Thapar writes. Here she answers the question of why history is so important for Hindu nationalists. https://t.co/MzqbUpmerz
Am really looking forward to spending the Easter weekend in @Princeton discussing 'Matters of State' in South Asia with this exciting group of young South Asianists! Thanks to @aqayyum and Tara Suri for putting together this splendid conference.
