The decision comes amid mounting backlash, with the team’s Board of Directors reportedly calling an emergency meeting to address the situation.

A new head coach is expected to be revealed tomorrow ahead of the Fever’s game against the New York Liberty.

Even this Fox News host is at a complete loss for words after former NBA player Royce White says this about the WNBA. 😅

WHITE: “My goal is to help elevate the WNBA. I think the ticket prices and the attendance will SOAR.”

“I think the audience, the live audience will increase. And I think ultimately it’s good for the game. It’s going to help evolve the game.”

“Who would argue that a player like myself or an Enes Kanter or, in the future, maybe even a LeBron James after he expires in the NBA. Maybe he wakes up one day and realizes he’s a woman as well.”

“Who could argue that that wouldn't make the women's game better?”

GRIFF JENKINS: “So, listen, I don’t know what to even say to that.”

Royce White was the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Earlier in this same interview, White said he’s “just having a blast in my feminine era” and that “after further review... it would appear that I am indeed sometimes identifying as a transgender woman.”

He has now declared himself eligible for the WNBA, a league that can't even define what a woman is.

There are no men playing in the WNBA. Yet Enes Kanter and now Royce White are announcing plans to enter the 2027 draft as actors in a broader anti-trans narrative that falsely portrays women’s sports as being overrun by men.

Kanter averaged 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds across 748 NBA games but never became an All-Star. White played nine total minutes across three NBA games and recorded zero points, rebounds or assists. Royce White is going to lose his campaign so this is a political stunt.

Neither man identifies as trans, nor sincerely identifies as a woman. This is a calculated dog whistle aimed at mocking trans people and manufacturing outrage. They think they’re playing 4D chess, but they’re literally men attempting to force themselves into women’s sports so they can pretend their invented threat was real all along.
