This is what people were saying before Kobe FINALLY got his MVP in 2008…
ESPN Article from (2007)
“The shame of it is that Kobe might finish his career without a MVP, even though his ability can be compared ONLY to that of Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. Kobe can do everything Michael did, and even a few things Michael couldn't do.
Yes, he’s obviously better than Dwyane Wade, who is certainly closer to the Kobe-Jordan level than LeBron James, but D-Wade's game is not as polished as Kobe's.
Yes, he’s obviously better than Steve Nash, who is the best point guard, but not the lethal force that Kobe is.”
Tracy McGrady is a fan of the Lakers' offseason.
“I think Rob is doing a good job. I think he’s surrounding Luka with some pretty good pieces... When it’s all said and done... you’re going to have to respect it.”
On competing: “Yeah, because you got Luka.”

“I’m f****** glad he’s gone, and I promise you LA, you’re in for an interesting 5 f****** years” -Richard Jefferson 🤡
🔥 THIS is why we’re glad that LeBron is gone. 3 of his best friends/former teammates sat around gossiping about Lakers fans, and lecturing them on his show.

WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?!
AN INTERESTING 5 YEARS!?! What could that be!?!
Not making the playoffs!? A first round exit ?! A second round exit!?! Not making the finals!?
THATS ALL HAPPENED THE LAST 5 YEARS. SO WHAT IN THE FUCK WOULD BE SO INTERESTING!?!
Update on Austin Reaves’ contract with the Lakers: Final terms are four years, $180 million, with a player option in 2029–30, league sources tell me. Reaves agreed to a lower amount than the previously reported $185 million to help give Los Angeles more future flexibility.
