@RogueMoran She didn’t reply but the next day around lunchtime there was another delivery from an Italian deli with a sandwich for lunch and a big slice of lasagna for dinner.
She might not be able to be there for him, but she can at least make sure he’s eating.
She sent @RogueMoran a three minute long voice message of their son trying to ask him if he wants to come home for Father’s Day. There were a lot of ‘uhs’, he got distracted for a bit and even went completely off-topic, but it was sweet. He missed his dad.
@RogueMoran Well he could still call or send him a gift or something. Let him know that he hasn’t forgotten about him.
Lea knew that he probably wasn’t taking care of himself so she went ahead and ordered him a nice dinner from a good restaurant in his area and had it delivered to his flat.

I understand. I’ll let Gus know you won’t be able to make it. Take good care of yourself.]
She knew that they’d have to talk about what he’d done eventually, but she wasn’t going to do it over text.
@RogueMoran “Not all the time, no. But you’d be busy with Gus and household things while I’d be resting, so I wouldn’t have to deal with you all the time.” And with that she disappeared into the bathroom. Some food for thought.
@RogueMoran She stood up and headed for the door. “Don’t worry, don’t need a live-in carer… yet. I’ll probably start taking applications in a few months, feel free to apply.”
Too soon for jokes?
@RogueMoran She narrowed her eyes when he looked away, but she wasn’t going to push him. She doesn’t have the energy for it.
“Alright then.”
A soft sigh.
“I’ll be…” She pointed towards the bathroom. “Need to take some medication.”
@RogueMoran She sat back down on the edge of the bed while wiping off her mascara. She could tell there was something on his mind, something had happened or was about to happen and it was clearly related to his work.
A long silence.
“… what did he make you do?”
@RogueMoran “Myeah, I know.” She wandered off and disappeared into the bathroom for a few seconds, returning shortly after with a makeup wipe in her hands.
“What do you mean ‘not really a person’? Like he doesn’t respect your needs and boundaries as a human being or…?”

> That’s really sweet!
> Proposing is actually so cool. Like the buildup, knowing what’s going to happen.
> Was she surprised?
> Also ignore your dad’s reaction. He’s gotten down on one knee so many times, he’s probably forgotten it’s a special thing.
@RogueMoran She looked back at him, raising an eyebrow. “… now that’s a toxic relationship right there.” She picked up a little nightgown instead of a pajama set and pulled it over her head.
@RogueMoran “Oh? So the crazy man has my address? That’s… great.” She said as she looked through her dresser for a fresh set of pajamas. “Does he know why you’re always coming here?”
@RogueMoran “Thanks.” She pushed the straps over her shoulders, letting the dress fall to the floor. “I know, that’s fine. Want me to arrange a taxi for you or something?”
@RogueMoran A glance was cast in his direction before she nodded. “Please.” She turned her back to him, holding her hair up so he could unzip her dress.
@RogueMoran She glanced down at the jewelry in her hand, lifting her shoulders with a small shrug. “It’s okay, let’s just forget about it. I’m too tired to fight.” She mumbled that last part, getting up to put her things away before starting to get changed.
A deep sigh. That damn zipper.
