@andrewmcgregor@JWGarratt @AustenPaulH @DanielaNadj So, on UK upper class:
1. They truly believe they are genetically superior to “ordinary” people

@llewellynsteven@ExasperatedTory 2. QE went into the financial system so was not availble to consumers to spend therefore inflationary impact was weakened and/or delayed
3. The economy was devastated by the financial crash andQE really helped us avoid a depression, (this is similar to argument 1)

@llewellynsteven@ExasperatedTory I don’t think there is clear view from economists on the impact of QE because it’s not happened before and they are still trying to understand the impact:
The explanations I can see are:
1. QE did stoke inflation, and prevented deflation which would otherwise have happened

@ianjfitch @Startinglifeag1@sandieshoes@GoodwinMJ@christopherhope To go to war without UN approval was wrong. The claims of WMD were mendacious.
Inside Iraq itself, the war was unquestionably worth it to the Kurds who gained a state within a state and look set to gain still more from oil and gas development on their territory

@hstanley_@HaydenHewitt@jk_rowling @TwitterSupport I don’t understand what you mean
Some events, like murder or credible threat in the wake of a murder, require us to rise above our day to day concerns
We should not use a murder or credible murder threat to score points in a gender naming disagreement
