Some thoughts after the most amazing Bitcoin conference on Earth, @BTCPrague 🧡
Bitcoin stays decentralized only because anyone can run a node and verify the rules themselves.
Every byte added to the blockchain is a cost paid by every node operator forever. As resource requirements grow, fewer people can participate and verification becomes a privilege instead of a right.
If Bitcoiners care about keeping Bitcoin accessible to everyone, Bitcoiners should protect everyone’s ability to run a node.
Bitcoin is for anyone, but not every use case deserves Bitcoin’s scarce block space.
Bitcoin is for everyone but not for everything.
P.S. Still stoked for having the opportunity to talk about scaling authenticity in Bitcoin-only marketing.
