@Rebels_Raiders Ok but when are you making a XL version? I've already got 3 friends to buy your stuff but have been personally left out due to the lack of a XL option.
@Rach4Patriarchy As a man with a 1 week old baby and a 8yo son who's wife is a full time stay at home mom I really appreciate this post.
PS. I'm up with the baby so the wife can get a few hours sleep between feedings.
@CricketKiddy@Peoples_Pundit Lol I love how everyone conflates not wanting the US to spend billions on Israel with hating Jews. No one hates Jews, we just think they should pay for their own wars. If they can afford universal healthcare and free college they can pay for their own military too.
1944: Ancel Keys runs Minnesota Starvation Experiment.
He puts 36 men on semi-starvation diet for 6 months: 1,570 calories. High-carb, low-fat, low-protein.
Results within weeks:
- Food obsession
- Depression
- Irritability
- Loss of libido
- Social withdrawal
- One subject cuts off three fingers in frustration
Keys documents this meticulously. Publishes 1,400-page book: "The Biology of Human Starvation."
His conclusion: Semi-starvation causes severe physical and psychological damage.
Now here's the interesting part:
Keys' starvation diet: 1,570 calories. High-carb. Low-fat.
Modern "healthy weight loss diet": 1,500-1,800 calories. High-carb. Low-fat.
They're nearly identical.
Keys documented this causes food obsession, depression, metabolic adaptation, intense hunger, psychological distress.
Then spent the rest of his career promoting low-fat diets.
1960s-present: Dietary guidelines recommend calorie restriction, low-fat, high-carb.
This is Keys' starvation diet. Rebranded as "healthy eating."
Results, 1960-2025:
- Obesity up 300%
- Depression epidemic
- Food obsession normalised
- Eating disorders skyrocketing
These are the exact symptoms Keys documented in his starvation experiment.
We're running a population-wide starvation experiment and calling it health advice.
@A1RM4N0@nikgeneburn You can literally play tarkov on Linux RIGHT NOW and it runs fine, better than on windows even. The only problem is the setting in battleye that won't allow Linux players on BSG servers so you have to play offline tarkov until that's changed. That is all that's needed for support
@JoseBAhfja@nikgeneburn If you have a steam deck you use Linux. There are a lot of people fed up with windows that are running steam os or other distros to game on for performance benefits. It's a growing trend and being unable to play tarkov is gonna get bad reviews from those people.
@ThatGuyHarv0891@nikgeneburn Literally all they have to do is toggle a setting that is off by default in battle eye that allows linux, the game runs in Linux fine with the exception that battle eye won't let you use bsg servers. BSG could fix that setting in 10 seconds.
@spikesguides I still have a m92 build with a triangle folder set up like this. Been meaning to buy a stormwerks top rail for it but never get around to it.
