Shrewsbury’s Freddie O scored 49 for Ireland against Australia in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup this morning, live on Sky Sports.
His knock featured 4 fours, and has helped his country to a promising position against the defending champions.

Freddie O has led his country to victory in the ICC U19 World Cup, top-scoring with 73 from 76 balls against Japan as Ireland successfully chased 248.
He struck 4 fours and 2 sixes, and ensured that the Irish progress to the Super Six stage.

We are thrilled to announce that Freddie O will be representing Ireland at the ICC Mens’ U19 World Cup in January.
He will join the world’s best young cricketers in Zimbabwe and Namibia in January, completing a meteoric rise for the young Salopian.
A phenomenal accomplishment
Freddie has just reached a magnificent half-century against England U19s.
He is currently 63 not out, sharing in an unbroken stand of 116 for the third wicket.

Centuries from Ogilby (139) and Grindlay (108) saw the 1st XI boys post 330-9 against Eton today.
Vaughan claimed 5-66 in Eton’s reply, who despite 115 from Duguid fell 58 runs short in a magnificent game of cricket.
The 1st XI boys got their Silk Trophy campaign off to a winning start with a magnificent performance against a strong Grey College touring side.
Grindlay took 3-27 as the South Africans posted 266 all out before a fantastic chase.

In the final game of the Silk Trophy, Shrewsbury have posted 331 for 7 from their 50 overs. Stowe have just begun their reply.
During the 1st innings Ogilby hit 84, taking him past 1000 senior runs for the summer.
Congratulations to him on a spectacular achievement.
Freddie has represented the Ireland U19 side with distinction in the Tri-Series against England and Scotland.
He finishes the tournament with 190 runs at an average of 47.5, with a highest score of 89.
He also claimed 5 dismissals behind the stumps, aged just 16.
