66 years ago today, Deputy Jack R. Ellwanger made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
While investigating a traffic crash on June 15, 1960, he was struck and killed by a hit-and-run drunk driver.
Today, we honor his service, sacrifice, and memory as one of Our Heroes.

This year’s Operation BRIDGE took place on June 4th.
Deputies and resource organizations interacted with 25 women providing them with treatment options. 4 women entered treatment facilities that day.

The FCSO Bicycle Unit recently took on a special assignment, supporting the Special Olympics Torch Run.
More than 2,400 athletes and coaches from across Ohio participated in the celebration.

As we head into the final day of the Memorial Tournament, we’re sharing one of our favorite moments from the week. 7 yr old Fielder was beyond excited to meet Sheriff Baldwin, and after a BIG high-five, Fielder received one of the Sheriff’s challenge coins!
