RIP to the Cartoon Network Studios building -this is a great visual of impact of unchecked corporate mergers & greed. Many series were canceled & jobs lost. A handful of Cartoon Network projects are being produced at WB, but anyone who worked there knows it's a major difference!
Black professors truly make the difference bc they were the only ones in art school who ive had legitimate conversations about colorism and character design
Mostly because, aside from Migration, they weren't marketed probably and barely anyone even knew that the movies came out. But sure, say it's because they're "original" films.
Imagine if they took that $330 million and put into social services within that community. Housing, community gardens, parks, learning centers, water stations, more public restrooms and free community events and public health events. But Cop City 2 is their priority.
Paramount CEO Brian Robbins says they are moving away from releasing original animated movies in theaters & instead will focus on IPs.
“We’re not going to release an expensive original animated movie and just pray people will come.”

If you love #Spiderverse and are sad you have to wait a yr for the 3rd film, I HIGHLY recommend checking our #MoonGirlAndDevilDinosaur while you wait! The animation/music has the same vibes AND we get to see a badass black girl genius fight crime in the LES NY with her pet dino!
I'm sure it's been said before but spiderverse feels like this is what superhero movies are supposed to be. how did we let them be turned into something with a dishwater color palette
