What do you mean if your uncle sends N100,000, you pay no tax because it’s below N800,000? You worded it as if govt treats every income separately, why did you omit that the 800k threshold is annually, meaning that if your uncle’s allowance is monthly (and your allowance is taxable), that’s 1.2M in a year—which makes you eligible to tax??

Why are you misinforming people that if their business makes profit of 1,900,000 they won’t pay tax when in fact the law states it’s about turnover and turnover is not profit??? Why??

And by the way, which business makes only 1,900,000 profit in year?? Do you not realize that the Naira value is next to nothing now and that even the Akara seller in the street can turnover millions in a year without even realizing it??

Why are you also pretending not to be aware that “nobody” actually makes income of 800k or less in Nigeria now as 800k is obviously nothing (as a matter of weak Naira)? Have you checked people’s OPAY to see their monthly income and expenditure??
