It's giving day at Ohio University, and the Exercise Physiology support fund is a featured fund. Today is the day to give to current and future Bobcats in the Exercise Physiology program! https://t.co/PjxXB3rKr6
Giving day is on the way...you can make your gift (even if it's early) here for a student experience that is close to your heart: https://t.co/f8LHuGWJyK
Don’t forget this Thursday is National Biomechanics Day! Come join in on the fun with a event set up all about biomechanics! Use the QR code to register!
Appreciation post to Anna Brooks, one of our instructors here at OU! She does an incredible job! Thankful for her time and effort working with these students! Here is her instructing them on form and technique for upper body resistance training last week! #OU#thankful
Biomechanics lab worked on functional movement! What would we do without Marcus Barr giving incredible opportunities to us students to learn the joys of biomechanics? #OU#ExPhys
Congratulations to our incredible softball team for coming in strong with their first win! Wishing the team a successful season! https://t.co/lijlMNFfdu
OU oh yeah! April 7th is National Biomechanics Day! Don’t wait or hesitate! Scan the QR Code to register for a fun opportunity to learn! #NBD#Biomechanics#ExPhys#Ohio#OUOhYeah
Our undergraduates worked in Exercise testing and prescription class on leg, back, and grip strength with many other tests. Videos and photos are complicated when sharing on here, but they all worked hard! They all deserve credit! Shoutout to those not on here!
Check out this video of the biomechanics lab, where they used Wingate to test ground reaction forces and how fatigue affects it! This is a great way to see the application of muscle fatigue in a setting with athletes have an increased likelihood of injury later in their games!🙌🏽
If you or someone you know is an exercise physiologist looking for a great opportunity, there are two openings where you will work with Ohio University and OhioHealth! Type the link below and apply!
Two grad students here at OU in the clinical exercise physiology track are working on body composition! This spaceship here is the Bod Pod! Gotta love students taking initiative! If you’re interested in getting a body composition done, all grad students love the practice!
Shoutout to Dr. Jason White our Director of Performance Sciences & his staff for measuring our guys in shoulder strength & ground force out-put. Very beneficial data for our athletes moving forward!
The new publication from our department. This is a good example of research projects collaborating with NCAA D1 athletics. Our master student Kevin Deitz, @AiIshida4 and Dr. White work on more projects in D1 athletes to help performance development.
Faculty highlight #4: Bill Jones is an Assistant Professor of Instruction of Exercise Physiology. Bill has received a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition and Dietetics) from Kent State University. Jones teaches exercise testing and prescription lab as well as
