President @realDonaldTrump has spoken out and we agree - Ohio voters should reject Issue 1 and this left-wing power grab. We will continue to fight for election integrity and election security from coast to coast.
According to Oxford Languages, “gerrymandering” is “achiev[ing] (a result) by manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency.”
Issue 1 requires a citizen redistricting commission to draw districts so Reps and Dems each get a certain number of districts in their favor.
How much is amending Ohio’s constitution worth to a 501(c)(4) dark money group based out of Arlington, VA that goes by the name of “Article IV”?
$3,500,000
So how much do you think it takes to try and buy an amendment to the Ohio Constitution?
All this week, we will document how much money out of state special interest groups have donated, so far, to State Issue 1, which is on the Ohio ballot on November 5, 2024.
Tonight, we start with the biggest funder of them all….
The Sixteen Thirty Fund -
a Washington DC 501(c)(4) dark money entity funded by super billionaire & foreign national extraordinaire Hansjorg Wyss - has contributed $6,5000,000 to buy a provision in Ohio’s Constitution.
The Ohio Ballot Board is meeting this AM to assign language for the redistricting amendment that will be on ballots this fall.
The SoS office is hanging out citations to explain where they pulled wording for each part of their language proposal (which will likely be adopted).
@GovMikeDeWine explained this week how the “Citizens Not Politicians” ballot proposal mandates gerrymandering in Ohio’s Constitution. Hard to disagree with him when you see this. The return of the infamous “snake on the lake”. How is this all of a sudden a good thing for Ohio?
In Virginia when it was time for its newly created “independent commission” to draw districts a couple years ago, did they draw “fair” maps?
No. Things got so partisan that they literally threw their hands up in the air, quit, and let judges draw maps. https://t.co/i8cHcMkT2Z
Why would an entity called the Sixteen Thirty Fund that is based out of Washington DC donate over $6,500,000 to change Ohio’s constitution?

Why would a billionaire couple from Texas donate $3,500,000 to change Ohio’s Constitution?
