“I Just Want My Son to Live”: Mother Appeals for P467,000 to Save 14-Year-Old Kidney Patient

A mother from Moshupa is appealing for financial assistance to help her 14-year-old son, Brian Lemogang Bankgonne, who has been battling kidney disease since 2018 and now urgently needs a kidney transplant in India.

Brian reached end-stage kidney disease in 2025 and has been undergoing haemodialysis for the past year. His family is now desperately trying to raise approximately P467,000 (about US$34,000) to cover the transplant and related medical treatment.

The family says it has medical documents, referral letters, transplant information and fundraising materials available for verification. The mother is appealing to individuals, organisations and members of the public to donate, share Brian’s story or connect the family with anyone who may be able to assist.
