And so our time in Iceland has come to an end 😢 This morning we spent some time in Reykjavik and enjoyed spending our króna in the shops and cafes of ‘Rainbow Street’. We also took a ‘flight’ on ⁦@FlyOverIceland⁩ which was incredible! Now to fly home! 🛬

Another super busy day! Hraunfossar and Barnafoss this morning, followed by a visit to the mighty Viogelmir lava tube cave. After relaxing in the relaxing waters of Krauma Geothermal baths, we hiked up the Grabrok crater. 💦 🪨🩱🥾

We have visited the Golden Circle 🟡today. Stops included Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most 📷 waterfalls, Geysir where we saw fumaroles emanating steam & gas, and Thingvellir National Park. Another amazing day!

This afternoon it’s been icebergs all the way! First we saw them floating in Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon and then up close on the stunning black sand Diamond Beach. What an experience!

This morning we visited Fjaorargljufur, a 100m deep canyon that dates back 2 million years. No sign of Justin Bieber today!

Reynisfjara beach looking gorgeous in the sunshine. And we saw puffins - so cute! 🐧

This afternoon we donned our crampons and explored the frozen glacier tongue of Solheimajokull. So cool! ❄️

We were lucky enough to see a double 🌈🌈 at Skogafoss! Incredible 😄

Did you know ‘Foss’ means waterfall? This morning we have visited the 60m Seljalandsfoss - and got rather damp walking behind it!

We have arrived in 🇮🇸 and have headed straight to the bridge between the continents! The weather is glorious and we are so excited for the next few days! #lovegeography

Year 10 fieldwork in the Docklands today. We have been assessing the success of the regeneration of the area and have had a super time.
