I’ll tell you exactly what I think the disconnect is for CT’s NFT enjoyers and ordinals.

none of them held bitcoin.
and when I say none of them, I mean literally none ~ like 95% of NFT bros don’t or at least didn’t hold bitcoin from 18k all the way to 127k.

so when ordinals popped off in 2023, only those who understood the decentralized culture and provenance of bitcoin moved straight into ordinals. and with that being the case, now that ordinals have had an extreme pull back it is much easier for alt chain NFT bros to fade it yet again, and the same outcome will happen on the next face melting ordinals bull run.

Re: collection data and the listing process.

◉RD indexes every inscription, parent, and gallery. All "collections" are either galleries or one or more parents.

The goal is to rely on onchain data as much as possible.

The listing process becomes more of a verification process, where we mark an existing parent or gallery as a verified collection, give it a URL slug and title, and enable trading.

Verification is currently handled through our public Github.

There is plenty of tooling now for inscribing galleries.

Take your time and do it right. Make sure the title and metadata are correct.

When we get good, complete galleries for them.

There is no urgency. Ideally, those galleries come from the project founders, but they can also come from the community.

What matters is that the data is good and reflects what Magic Eden or Satflow had.

I'd consider it my first release around here (kinda), and we've built a batch auction platform to distribute it in a way that addresses boring pain points noticed in our eco such as whitelisting, collabs, mint phases and price-setting.

I've been diving deeply into pixel art the last several years, but for the most part it's been off-the-radar. It's not my first foray into the art world - far from it. But this is my first time in a while talking about my own work publicly here.

The Modal series (if I had to label it) is a minimalist abstract color study that focuses on our path from atoms to sentience to singularity. I guess it's commentary on (and my way of digesting) how we might've happened to end up where we are.

This is a deeply personal work to me, so I hope that anyone who heads to the site feels even a fraction as excited as I am about it.

It's a strange execution, as it includes nine distinct subseries, and even a draft parent with 100+ drafts reinscribed along the way to detail the process further.

There are tons of easter eggs such as 255 cross-series duos with related palettes and on-chain trait sorting (notably in Identity and Gradient series) straight from any non-marketplace explorer.

There's so much to explore about parent-child relationships, the ordinals protocol and the nature of existence in general and this is a direct product of that overlap.

Gallery and collection pull request tutorial

1. Go to https://t.co/qlqojH5yjv and make gallery with collection JSON from marketplace
2. Go to https://t.co/btQCxEYLif
3. Fork repo
4. Open in Github Desktop (download)
5. Open in Visual Studio Code (download)
6. Open collections.json
7. Search “gallery” and copy any other entry
8. Paste at top and change to your projects details
9. Use inscription ID of the gallery you created
10. SAVE FILE
11. Open terminal (button in top right corner)
12. Copy paste commands from repo readme

- node scripts/format-collections.js
- node scripts/validate-collections.js 

13. Go back to GitHub desktop, commit to main and push origin
14. Open GitHub in browser and open your forked repo
15. Click “contribute” then “Open Pull Request”
16. Click green “Create Pull Request” button
17. DONE - try not to bug @lifofifo every 5 minutes

Slightly different if using a parent inscription, just copy details from a previous parent entry (format is slightly different) - ids and square brackets
