One thing that’s always been confusing to me is seeing Muslims living comfortably in Western countries celebrating when Muslim lands are attacked or their airspace is violated.

Many of them or their parents left lands where the adhan is heard five times a day and chose to live in places where Islam isn’t part of the public life. Of course that’s their choice, and maybe they have a legitimate reason for doing so, and Allah knows best, and while they speak evil towards Muslims countries, at the same time, knowingly or unknowingly, many of them contribute through taxes to governments whose policies may be connected to conflicts that harm innocent people, including Palestinians.

Yet the harshest criticism is often directed at Muslim countries themselves.

This isn’t about our Palestinian brothers and sisters who were forced to leave their homes because of war and oppression. Their situation is completely different.

But for those who have the ability to live among Muslims and still choose not to, while criticizing Muslim societies from afar, it’s something I will never understand.

Allah says in the quran:
Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): "In what (condition) were you?" They reply: "We were weak and oppressed on earth." They (angels) say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?" Such men will find their abode in Hell - What an evil destination! 4: 97-100

May Allah protect all the lands of the Muslims from evil and harm, and may Allah fight those who are fighting his believers 🤲🏽

Following the sighting of the Ramadan 1447/2026 crescent, Wednesday 18 February 2026 marks the first day of Ramadan.

Isha prayers ONLY will be held Masjid Daar us Sunnah at starting at 7:15pm.

Isha + Taraweeh prayers will be held at 3 Warple Way, London, W3 0RX starting at 8:00pm.
