So honoured to have President Higgins view our glass quilt today! This piece, created by myself and other members of the @GlassSocietyIre, is currently on display in Áras an Uachtaráin. We created it during the lockdown as part of the @DCCIreland Keep Well Campaign @Kingswoodcc16

@MoyleParkArt @Kingswoodcc16 @GlassSocietyIre Thanks so much!! I fired them straight up to 800 degrees C. The problem is the glass though, you can’t just use any glass, it has to be the same type / compatible, or it will crack and break. I make fused glass wall pieces myself so I took the scraps into school for this!

TYs finished their Stained Glass module last week with some fused glass! First time trying it in our kiln, and it worked! 🎉 They then attached fittings to make some beautiful jewellery. We might have some future designers in our midst @Kingswoodcc16 @GlassSocietyIre #ddletb

Halloween isn’t over in the Art room here in @Kingswoodcc16, as 2nd years design and construct horror themed masks! Can’t wait to see the finished results.
