As some of you already know, I'm here because of my goddaughter. She's a 17-year-old tomboy who started identifying as trans last year. It's been incredibly hard to watch.
I've been pretty inactive recently. This is why.
It hit me harder than I expected. Since then I've been carrying this heavy feeling and trying to figure out how to support my GD without pushing her away. Some days it's just been too overwhelming to post.
@legaltweetz Seeing those binder ads everywhere must be brutal. I found one hidden in my goddaughter’s room the other day and it broke me. She’s heading down this path so fast. It’s sick how they market this to kids as ‘self-expression’.
@legaltweetz Your courage really touches me. Watching my goddaughter go down this same path has been absolutely terrifying and heartbreaking. Stories like yours give me real hope that she might one day see the truth and turn back before it’s too late. Thank you for standing firm.

@brenda11831 She’s talking about either studying or going straight into work after school. Right now though, transitioning is her main focus. I’m trying to help her see an exciting future as a woman instead. Any advice on how to do this without pushing her away?
But this feels like we're failing our girls by rushing them down this path instead of letting them just be tomboys. Gender-critical women, mothers, and detransitioners, any advice? How do I reach her without losing her?
