It’s annoying to see resources being pulled out against South Africans. When South Africans need help with gangsterism, extortionists, human trafficking etc, you don’t see these
Mara when it’s time to spray and shoot citizens with rubber bullets? The state gets excited.
Our generations “lack” of community isn’t a good thing, I had this conversation with my colleague like when funerals or weddings happen emakhaya or ko kasi neighbours or stokvel members etc. assist the family during the week with things like cooking for guests or just any pre funeral or wedding preparations & it’s mutually beneficial as we should do the same for them
But nowadays everyone is so self centred that we don’t do it like our parents and grandparents would, catering usually if there comes on the day of the said event, if you can afford that or have the benefit of a large family that gets along
