Yesterday I signed an agreement establishing Diplomatic relations between Uganda and Uruguay. My colleague Ambassador Dupuy Lassere signed on behalf of her country and the ceremony was witnessed by Hon. Mario Lubetkin the Foreign Minister of Uruguay.
I once again wish to thank H.E. Gen. @KagutaMuseveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, for the opportunity to continue serving the people of Uganda as Prime Minister.
I appreciate the Rt. Hon. Speaker @ObothOboth and Hon. Members of @Parliament_Ug for approving my appointment as Prime Minister and Leader of Government Business in Parliament today.
I strongly believe that, under the wise and visionary leadership of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, we will protect and build on our collective gains for nationwide socio-economic transformation of our people during this new term and beyond.
The priorities of Government are very clear, as outlined in the National Development Plan IV and the 2026-2031 NRM Manifesto, aimed at creating wealth, improving household incomes, and expanding our economy from an estimated USD 68.4 billion as of the end of June 2026 to USD 500 billion by 2040.
I pledge continued commitment, collaboration, and teamwork during this “No Corruption, No More Sleep” term of office as our country takes a qualitative leap into the Upper Middle-Income status. @OPMUganda@GovUganda@StateHouseUg
In my life of constant wars, my best soldiers were not Banyankore or Bahima. No! Rather they were Acholi, Madi, Lugbara and Karimojong. It doesn't matter how you look or what language you speak. All that matters is who you are as a person.
I'm glad to announce after a long meeting with Maj.General Don Nabasa today I have decided to release him and drop all the charges he was facing. I thank him for the good work he has done in our mighty military since he joined in 1998. God bless UPDF!
I congratulate the Rt. Hon. Speaker Jacob Oboth Oboth and Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa and thank the MPs for carrying out their mandate of voting, peacefully and transparently.
The NRM candidates obtained more votes than the NRM members in the House, and I note the votes our ally Mao took away. We shall address this because we want a united Parliament that serves our people better.
