My friends know one thing about me, ‘Legbeti doesn’t like accounting’ I said that Everytime as an undergraduate. I don’t find having to calculate Prop figures interesting

I had someone who was like an elder sister to me back then (Mary Onah)
Who I often beg to put me through on many things, so because I don’t like it, I read it more unlike SFM, PM which I find really interesting, I liked auditing too.

When I started my new job, I was saddled with a responsibility of daily reconciliation.
Oh my God i hated reconciliations so much, i struggled with it for about a week. Shaking off that frustration wasn’t easy, but my supervisor took the time to teach me, and the one thing I brought to the table was an absolute willingness to learn.

Fast forward: I locked in for a week, and suddenly I was handling daily recon for all 4 funds smoothly.

A while back, my boss flagged an issue as "too complicated" for me to fix. I just smiled and said, "No, I love problems that complication is exactly why i am interested.

About 4 months straight of running seamless daily recons now. Problems still pop up, but we walk right through them like it’s nothing.

That being me to say ‘Growth is a cheat code when you’re open to learning’
