While some of your thoughts hold reason, they are not properly nuanced as I would expect a teacher to.

UTME is an entrance examination. PERIOD. @waecnigeria and @OfficialNecoNG are the ONLY certificate that qualifies you for future education.

Wages and renumeration is a different kettle of fish.

Not even the doctors who you think are superior are paid well in Nigeria.

The question of wages and remuneration cuts across Local, State and Federal governments.

The biggest barrier is the minimum wage( which by nomenclature is a misnomer).

Recently the federal government made radical changes to salaries of our dear teachers in tertiary institutions. It is still a far cry but a starting point.

Besides what pay is good for Nigerians whose only God is money?

As long as we see everything through the Yahoo Yahoo prism, we will never understand the value of having more educators and farmers than doctors and engineers.

Every single year demand means the cut off mark is cut throat for medical sciences, engineering and technology. No one wants to be a teacher because people like you think wages are the ONLY way to measure the importance of that field of study.

The Federal government through @JAMBHQ is now saying these fields of study are so important that we should remove the biggest bottleneck so we can get more students in. You are crying and dripping mucus from your nose because you feel inferior to an engineer.

I was hoping for an educated argument from you and all those who have been losing their heads since the announcement.

I was hoping I could hear things like :

1. If we have more teachers, can the wages commission come up with a special wage and grade system for them separate and different from the national grading and payment system?
These people are important!

2. Can we create something like the ITF or even completely ensure that the contributions go towards better compensation for our teachers?

3. What can the @nassnigeria do to ensure that Primary and Secondary education is a first line in States and LGAs?

These are the kinds of debates I was and still expecting.

Your doctors flee the country in droves after we train them for peanuts.

They are cowards. The lot of them.

Teachers stay, that have shaped us, guided us and molded us.

We need more of them and if UTME is the problem, to hell with it!

Let it gate keep the cowards and the pretentious lots because they feel only by studying law( not you @egi_nupe, you na better human), medicine or technology & engineering; will they be respected.

This can never happen inside University of Ilorin.

No matter how rugged you think you are, all your ruggedness ends in Oke Odo. Once you enter the school gate, you must comport yourself.

University of Ilorin is very strict when it comes to indiscipline, and it helped us. We experienced the post-Professor Oloyede era, where you must not fight or engage in any form of misconduct.

Once you are caught, you must FACE TANKE. Unilorites know the meaning of this.

No matter how highly placed you are, you will be expelled if you are caught behaving like a tout inside or outside the campus, once it can be proven that you are a Unilorite.

I received a LinkedIn connection request from Prof. Folasade Ogunsola @UnilagVC in March. I accepted and we connected. She then sent me her WhatsApp number for ease of communication and we have been chatting and exchanging pleasantries since then.

Two days ago, the number started to send me what were clearly 419 fraud messages. I have reached out to her on LinkedIn and by text message to ask if her WhatsApp has been hacked but there has been no response. It just struck me that the person with the WhatsApp number may have created the LinkedIn profile for fraud purposes.

Anyone who knows Prof Ogunsola should please alert her to this. I am reluctant to share the WhatsApp number here in case it is her real number and it’s just her WhatsApp that has been hacked. Thank you.

Don't just check the name of the sender, check the mail of the sender. Someone used my wife's name to send a mail to someone in her office and tell them to send money to a "vendor"

The name of the sender said Chef Amaka, the mail it came from was not from her own registered email.

These evil Yahoo boys are using phishing links to get access into people's accounts. AI has given them better skills. They can design a site to look exactly like the site they're copying. This is also how many people have lost their social media accounts. That's how they hack you
