Yesterday, I had the rare privilege of welcoming the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji (@biodunaoyebanji), Senate Leader Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, and former Governor Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo to Efon Alaaye in honor of my late father, who was laid to rest. I deeply appreciate the support from the State, the Governor, Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, and Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.

They spoke highly of my father, recognizing him as a political mentor, statesman, and advocate for educational access. I also had the opportunity to introduce the CFIMA Award to them. The award honors outstanding young graduates from Ijero, Efon, and Ekiti West constituencies, focusing on academic excellence, leadership, and community impact, while encouraging global scholarship opportunities. Our leaders expressed strong support for this initiative and for efforts to immortalize my father’s contributions.

I am committed to continuing his legacy and supporting the growth and development of our state in any capacity our leaders deem appropriate.

Ekiti Speaker Reaffirms Assembly Support For Education Initiatives

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has pledged the legislature’s continued support for initiatives that promote education and scholarship opportunities for young people in the state.

He made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the Founder of Scholarships Café, Dr. Muyiwa Igbalajobi, at the Assembly complex earlier in the week.

In a statement signed by the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, Aribasoye emphasized his passion for youth empowerment, describing himself as a young leader committed to transformative change.

The Speaker assured that the Assembly would continue to enact policies that enhance academic opportunities and support scholars.

Dr. Igbalajobi, accompanied by his team, highlighted the impact of Scholarships Café in securing fully and partially funded scholarships for thousands of students globally. An alumnus of Ekiti State University, he recalled benefiting from a state government scholarship before advancing his studies in South Korea and Canada.

I had a wonderful experience meeting our community members across a few states in Nigeria, listening to their stories, and learning about the impact of our work on their lives. Yesterday, at the MM International Airport, an immigration officer recognized me and openly thanked me for the work I do here. Moments like this remind me of the importance of community, inspire me to push further, and reaffirm my commitment to empowering others and creating opportunities for growth and success. These encounters fuel my passion to keep striving for meaningful impact.
