Take it or leave it, the face of education in Nigeria has clearly changed for good.
It's now global and there is enough space for all.
Any geopolitical zone that doesn't wake up will be clearly left behind.
It’s so funny to see that people are genuinely angry that we are celebrating the safe return of the kidnapped children.
Like… were you expecting to hear that they had been killed so you could score some cheap political points? Were you looking for another campaign material? Or what exactly were you waiting for?
We are thanking God, thanking the Federal Government, and appreciating the security personnel for bringing these children back safely, yet some of you are still fuming. Y’all will surely fume more. Go and look for another point to campaign with because this one, God has already shut your mouths.
For weeks, you people were counting days.
“It’s been 30 days.”
“It’s been 40 days.”
“It’s been 50 days.”
Every day came with another countdown and another round of outrage.
Now the children are back alive, and you are still angry.
Some are asking, “Who rescued them?”
“How did they come back?” “Are we sure these are the children” “Why are they smiling?” “Where are the bandits?” Some are even questioning why we are happy or grateful in the first place.
If the reverse had happened, social media would have been on fire by now with calls for the President to resign.
Now some of you are asking why we are thanking the President and not the governor, as though when the news of the kidnapping first broke, it wasn’t the President you blamed, abused, and held responsible.
So when it was time to apportion blame, his name was everywhere. But now that the children have returned safely, suddenly his name should not be mentioned?
Something is truly working many of you in the head.
Once again, we are genuinely happy that these children and their teachers have returned home safely to their families.
And to those who are unhappy because this did not end the way you hoped, may the sadness you have chosen remain with you forever.
And before I forget, fem your gutter mouth.

Tonight, our nation has reason to give thanks.
The children and teachers abducted by Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State have been rescued by our security forces, alive and unharmed. No ransom was paid. No concession was made.
I salute every officer and operative whose courage, discipline, and professionalism made this possible.
To those who seek to spread fear through terror, know that the Nigerian state will pursue you relentlessly. We will protect our people, defend our communities, and never relent until peace and security prevail across our country.

"I don't want to say one is easier, but IGCSE is a little bit easier to understand." — Akota-Chika Serena.
The Nigerian teenager, who achieved the highest score globally in Cambridge IGCSE English, explains how the exam structure compares to WAEC, noting that WAEC requires more memorisation of outside knowledge.

"As a nation, do we have a database? Because, for security forces to work, for the police to work, we need to have a database. If you go abroad and you commit an offence, it's easier for you to be identified. They get your face, fingerprints, signature, or your picture because they know everything about you. Do we have that? What is delaying us from putting that in place?" — Christopher Musa, minister of defence
"For me, I would say IGCSE Mathematics is easier than WAEC Mathematics." — Tolulope Israel Adekimi.
Following his triumph as the world's top performer in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics, the Year 12 student outlines how decoding real-world scenarios makes the international paper more approachable than its domestic counterpart (WAEC).

Updated: in the course of the rescue operation, eight of the kidnappers were arrested and are now in DSS custody, while some of them were neutralised. There was no quid pro quo in the rescue as one of the terrorists, a kingpin, that the kidnappers demanded his release, is being prosecuted for his atrocities. The security agencies will give full account soon.
Security forces say in the course of the rescue operation, eight of the kidnappers were arrested and are now in DSS custody, while some of them were neutralised on the spot. More updates from security agencies soon
All we can say is “Thank you Lord”

UPDATE 🏗️🇳🇬: Lagere Flyover in Ile Ife is now 98% completed. Another landmark project showcasing the steady transformation of the ancient Yoruba city of Ile Ife.
“It’s not relevant.” “It’s not that deep.”
Funny how those phrases only seem to come out when it concerns the Yorubas.
This is exactly why some of us who never cared much about cultural preservation started speaking up. We went from being indifferent to being intentional because of the hypocrisy. If everyone else is allowed to preserve, celebrate, and defend their culture, the same courtesy should be extended to Yorubas too.
