It's common for people to dismiss them as show off when one cannot buy it easily. No other brand has that brand recall to survive generations

That's one of the reason people detest Rolex not because Rolex has inferior quality. That's exactly my point about Rolex being a ‘Sour Grape’. Thosewho can get a Rolex easily enjoy it .

@tejasghongadi Design is subjective. Debatable when you say these brands make better movements. Breitling only started manufacturing own movements recently and still uses ETA for many models. When someone buys a watch they buy it to their legacy and reliability to pass on to generations.
