With over 180 pupils active at lunch, we introduced archery to give them a chance to try something new! The results? More engagement, better behaviour and lots of fun! Who knows—we might have some future archers in the making.
The ability to speak a modern foreign language and understand different cultures is more beneficial now than it has been for a generation. To give our pupils a great foundation we begin teaching Spanish early in their school life.

Last week we celebrated Neurodiversity Week by holding an exhibition of some of our pupils' masterpieces. Classes were able to visit the exhibition and leave a comment in our Comment book.
Well done to all pupils who took part in the London Youth Games! Their hard work and commitment through after-school and lunchtime training paid off as they got to the quarter-finals, competing against 33 boroughs. We are proud we secured 5th place - an outstanding achievement!

As part of our design and technology week, the children in the nursery have been making fruit salad. They also got to eat their fruit salad and said it was delicious!
Our teaching focuses on helping our pupils develop the essential skills they need to learn science effectively. Since we introduced this, the children have been achieving better results, becoming more engaged with the subject.

Massive congratulations to our incredible KS2 Boccia team for proudly representing Old Ford Primary Academy and Tower Hamlets at the London Youth Games today! Finishing 5th overall is an outstanding achievement—your hard work, teamwork and determination have made us all proud!
It's essential children have a strong understanding of how to use technology. This is why all our pupils have weekly computing lessons from a specialist teacher, and access to over 480 Chromebooks, plus two fully equipped computing suites.
