They’d find em, but they wouldn’t force supervised visits because I was not a risk so the courts couldn’t justify spending taxpayer funds on it. Then the scenario would replay again. They’d ghost in the 48 hours to new housing. Always staying ahead of the visitation, and well, the family courts in that state did not have laws making what she was doing illegal at the time. But I sure did get investigated a lot because she kept pulling all this. Daughter is in her 20s now. She’s ghosted her mom, talks to me occasionally, and is trying to get married before anything goes down.

I’ll give you my side being a dad. When my daughter was 3 and her birthday was coming up, I called to make sure I could visit. Everything seemed on the up and up. I arrived on the birthday, presents in hand, knocking on the door at the agreed upon time.

The neighbour opens the door and hollers at me. “Ain’t nobody there! They’s moved out 2 days ago!”

I grab my phone and try to call to find out what’s going on. “This number has been disconnected.”

This was before social media, she ghosted.

It was trial and error to get contact info and debt to lawyers. After 4 repeat events of this. You stop, just like she wants you to. And you just pay, because that is all you are going to get.
