I had lunch with Alderman Jim Gardiner at Bust Outs today as part of my ongoing visits to small businesses across Chicago.

This is exactly what I want to see in our neighborhoods, local owners building something creative, rooted in Chicago culture, and bringing people in with pride.

The L-inspired menu is a perfect example of what happens when Chicago identity meets entrepreneurship.

I ordered the Brown Line Burger, and it was delicious. More importantly, it’s clear this business is working hard to serve the community and create jobs.

As mayor,
I’m focused on making it easier for small businesses like this to open, operate, and thrive, cutting red tape, improving safety , helping with Economic relief, and ensuring local entrepreneurs get real financial support, not Obstacles.
