We are stuck at Kikwetu Tavern. Floods have overwhelmed us and all the cars have been submerged. We can't exit either by foot since the water in from mbagathi road has so much force. The bridge seems to have collapsed as well just outside the gate. The rains are not stopping and we are submerged waist high in water with no high grounds to our advantage. Mtuombee.
I am appealing that if there is a way we can be evacuated please lift us off. PLEASE RETWEET WIDELY.

Arch Bishop Ruwaich on the murder of Tanzanians under Tyrant @SuluhuSamia
"Our nation has lost people who were killed arbitrarily while protesting and in their homes.
This doesn't reflect Tanzania's image at all, and it's unexplainable and unforgivable. It's an abomination before God.
We intentionally or ignorantly talk about peace but not justice. Let me be clear and repeat: there is no peace without justice. Justice is the core foundation of peace"
The IPAEA demands the release of Sudanese journalist Muammar Ibrahim, who was taken captive in El-Fasher by the Rapid Support Forces. His capture is part of an escalation of violence against journalists in Sudan. When journalists are silenced, the world goes blind to atrocities.

The @LawSocietyofKe received numerous distress calls from concerned citizens who witnessed the unlawful arrest of Ms. Rose Njeri yesterday afternoon. We promptly set up a team of Advocates to locate her whereabouts and secure her release. However, the officers of the @DCI_Kenya who picked her up went through great lengths to deny her access to legal counsel. At around 8pm, after extensive efforts to find out where she was being held, we received information that she was being held at Pangani Police Station.
Our team of Advocates on the ground proceeded to Pangani Police Station, where after long interventions, they were able to gain access to her. However, all efforts to secure her release on police bail have so far been frustrated by the officers in charge who are yet to cede to requests by counsel to release her. Our team kept vigil at the police station late into the night, and I personally spoke with @rtunguru, who updated me on what transpired.
As things stand, we are still on the matter and hope to have Rose released and back home with her family. We ask all members of the public to remain vigilant but calm, and we will provide timely and detailed updates as soon as we make positive progress towards securing her release.
