In the legends of Japan, there are tales of legendary giant toads that live in remote mountains and rivers far from humans. Εgama is a giant toad which breathes rainbow-like smoke and wields a giant spear against whoever attacks it.

The Watchful Tree is a folk-name given variously to the silver birch and the aspen, because of the 'eyes' that stare out from their trunks - formed either by natural bark-markings, or the healed lesions left by dropped branches. #WyrdWednesday
Tonight we celebrated Mrs Macfadyenβs 29 years service to the pupils, staff and families of OLHS. She was presented with a gift from the whole staff as well as a quilt that represented her life in school. We wish her well in her future career and miss her. π
