Anyone who says the referees did not receive bribes directly is wrong
They received them as a result of Negreira’s decisions which increased their income by selecting them to referee matches during the season promoting them and excluding others based on the interests of the club that paid him more than €8 million over two decades
That is a direct bribe even if the income ultimately came from an official source
Allowing them to keep their titles after all of this does not simply mean ignoring what happened it opens the door to new forms of corruption and bribery
This case will become a precedent that others in Europe can rely on to do the same knowing that even the harshest punishment may leave the titles untouched
Then this case will stop being a deterrent and become a defense argument for those who do the same in the future
@obiorah_benny@odinlad_ Zidane has never played rubbish,neither as a coach nor a player, u clearly don't know the man, he'd rather loose than go defensive
@MartienBall Not only in Spain.
By the time Barcelona was paying Unicef for displaying their logo in their shirt (instead of being payed for it)
Senes Erzik was a director at Unicef and also VP of the UEFA referees commitee.
Do you remember the Chelsea or Arsenal matches?
Pure coincidence.
