@electricpetrol They don't really want their current customer base along for the ride IMHO. the EV world as it is can be kinda polarising, but this takes it to a whole other level with such a prestigious brand like Jaguar & it's heritage

@electricpetrol very, very true. I feel like they're almost going for a quirky spin off from the LR brand to capture that market that isn't really there. it's gonna be a BIG sell, and they're staking the brand on it

@electricpetrol they want to appear fresh, fashion-forward, modern, timeless, elegant and "cool" while expressing diversity and a forward-thinking look, and that's going to always be polarising from such a HUGE shift

@electricpetrol I mean it gets people talking, even if it doesn't set things in the right light. The rebrand definitely devalues the brand, it looks cheap and chintzy, but I feel like Jaguar are trying to break the mold away from their classically associated old fuddy-duddy clientele
