My take? All politicians are going to stop debating. They see everyone complained when Trump and Byron did it, yet the voters rewarded them with wins. Blame yourselves.
I’m seeing this quote pushed out by many….
“You punish bad Republicans in the primaries.
You vote to save the country from leftists in the general….”
and I’m wondering how that’s possible when corporate and foreign interests spend 30 million dollars in a primary?
Or when a gubernatorial candidate has a 100 million war chest?
Seriously though, how the fck is a grassroots candidate expected to beat the establishment during a primary?
I’m all ears on suggestions in the comments…
It's Monday, the day we meet to pray for our governor and his family. Join us this evening for a brief time of prayer.

🚨 2 DAYS LEFT 🚨
@GovRonDeSantis ordered ALL automated license plate readers removed from state road rights-of-way by Sept. 30.
Instead, some sheriffs’ offices are simply MOVING them.
In Polk County, Flock cameras were moved onto private property while still scanning vehicles on a state road.
Other counties removed Flock cameras and found numerous unpermitted cameras nobody knows who owns.
The deadline is 2 days away.
Lmao thinking Jolly or anyone else can turn Florida socialist is the funniest shit I’ve heard all day. You should be more worried about Donalds wanting data centers (for surveillance) all over the state’s pristine lands, if you’re worried about socialism
@richardgalaxia@joey_tweedy I supported Massie early on. His courage against the CARES Act was tremendous. We were even mutuals. He just went too far in his anti-Israel stance. It went far past just criticizing leadership. So, I left him to his fate. It did not have to be that way.
I went down the rabbit hole with CHAT. My final question was:
"What vaccines have actually been removed from the CDC childhood schedule under Trump/Kennedy, with the change implemented and currently in force?"
CHAT-GPT: "None. That is the clean one-sentence answer"
@CookedGooseinFL Frankly, this makes me very angry. It is making police lazy and overly dependent on it. Using as the only (and false) proof should be made illegal. This is the third false imprisonment I have heard about in relation to these cameras.
“Hospitals bought AI to find more things to bill for. Insurers bought AI to deny those bills. The technology cost money on each end and the tab went straight to patients through higher premiums. A billion dollars moved and no one got any healthier.”
Good (but depressing) read 👇
So instead of actually improving the grid and hardening it against cyber and EMP attacks. "Smart Grid" is just short hand for monitoring and restricting Americans' use of electricity in the face of planned shortages to keep Oracle's data centers humming. Meanwhile, we still have not hardened an inch of the power grid from attack, nor replaced and upgraded the basic infrastructure across much of it in decades.

Since when does Congress run DHS? More likely this is because of the Trump Administration order that went out this weekend to not arrest illegals who were not criminals.
@flman66@DocWashburn@maltyjava Oh, stop the fear porn. Either you trust the Constitution’s checks and balances or maybe you should head over to Europe. Worst that happens is two years of gridlock.
In his book Collapse, Jared Diamond studied a dozen societies across thousands of years, from the Maya to the Vikings, to answer one question: why do great civilizations fall? What he found wasn't drought, war or bad luck. None of those were ever enough on their own. The one thing present in every collapse was how the people at the top responded to what was happening below them.
The warning sign he found again and again was leaders who were completely insulated from the pain of ordinary people. When the powerful never feel the consequences, they stop seeing the problem, and when they stop seeing it, they stop fixing it. The Maya kings kept enriching themselves and building monuments while the farmers who fed them went hungry. Their civilization didn't fall because of one bad year. It fell because the people in charge had stopped living in the same world as everyone else.
Diamond called them "distant managers." They are the people in power who live so far from the damage that they are the last to understand how bad it has gotten. By the time they notice, the fields are already empty.
His most important finding was that collapse is a choice. Every society that fell had leaders who could have changed course and chose not to. The question for us is whether we will keep letting people who can't see us make that choice for us. Because we are there folks.
