Think Yoruba First Congratulates Governor Ademola Adeleke on Osun State Election Victory

Think Yoruba First (TYF) Organisation warmly congratulates His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the 15 August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

TYF congratulates Governor Adeleke on receiving the mandate of the people of Osun State and wishes him a successful second term in office. We equally commend the people of Osun State for participating in the democratic process and exercising their constitutional right to choose their governor.

As the political contest is now over, TYF believes that the time has come to put politics aside and focus entirely on governance, development, security, and the wellbeing of the people of Osun State.

We hope that Governor Adeleke will use the next four years to fulfil all the promises made to the people of Osun State during the election campaign and justify the confidence they have placed in his leadership. The mandate given to him is not merely a political victory; it represents a responsibility and a trust that must be honoured.

TYF particularly urges the Governor to prioritise:

Economic growth and job creation for the people of Osun State.
Education and skills development, particularly for young people.
Healthcare and social welfare for vulnerable residents.
Infrastructure and rural development across all parts of the state.
Security and protection of lives and property.
Support for agriculture, local businesses, and indigenous enterprises.
Transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance that serves the people of Osun State.

TYF advocates for Governor Ademola Adeleke prioritization of Yoruba-first appointments throughout his administration, ensuring that qualified Yoruba people are given priority in positions of responsibility within Osun State. We believe that Yoruba wealth must remain within the Yoruba commonwealth, and that the economic opportunities, resources, contracts, investments, and development generated in Yorubaland should first and foremost benefit the Yoruba people.

Non-Yoruba individuals should not be given preferential treatment or favoritism over qualified Yoruba people in Yorubaland. TYF believes that prioritising the interests and prosperity of the indigenous Yoruba population is essential to protecting the economic interests, dignity, and future prosperity of the Yoruba people.

We also urge Governor Adeleke to see himself as the governor of all Osun people, and to govern with fairness, accountability, and a clear commitment to the overall development of the state. The election is now behind us, and the responsibility of governing belongs to the entire state.

TYF particularly hopes that the next four years will bring greater economic prosperity, improved security, better infrastructure, stronger indigenous businesses, quality education, and sustainable development to Osun State.

The people have given Governor Adeleke their mandate, and we hope he will honour the trust placed in him by the people of Osun State by making the growth and development of the state his foremost priority.

Think Yoruba First looks forward to an Osun State that is more prosperous, secure, economically productive, and attractive to investment during the Governor's second term.

The election is over; the work of building Osun State must now begin.
