So I got up. I went to Umar. I said, ‘Look, Umar, maybe you don’t know; this is why we did what we did.’ He said, ‘Well, NNPC came to me.’ I said, ‘But you know that NNPC cannot run this thing. He said he knew.
I asked, ‘Then why did you give in? He said because of pressure.
I always tell people that one of worst presidents we had so far is Musa Yar’Adua. But people don't believe. Below was a confession from OBJ as reported by the Punch Newspapers.
He noted that he subsequently warned Yar’Adua that the government could eventually lose the opportunity to recover substantial value from the plants.
When I left office, NNPC went to my successor and convinced him.
However, Obasanjo said the transaction was later reversed by his successor, the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, following pressure from the NNPC.
"Until one day, Aliko (Dangote) came and offered $750m to take two of the refineries; that will be 51 per cent. I said, ‘Wow, God, you are really a God of miracles.’ I told Aliko to bring the money quickly. They brought the money, and they paid,” he said.
On this note I'm official telling you that until you present to me another presidential candidate(s) aside ATIKU or OBI, with more public confidence, I will vote for TINUBU coming presidential election, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Currently, in Nigeria political space, I understand that supporting TINUBU is more dangerous than stealing. Well, I have nothing but to let you know that everyone has an inalienable right to belong to any political party or support any candidate.
During the Osun gubernatorial election, I saw some people who had earlier criticised TINUBU and Apc negatively but voted for Apc because of 20K. Definitely, it's not because they hated TINUBU or Apc, but because of their selfish interests.
If you see how Ademola Adeleke prostrated for his sister, Dupe Adeleke, I mean a whole governor lie down flat to thank his sister, and it's hard for some of you to even greet your elderly ones.......
Seeing how Adeleke's family supported the governor elect in Osun State reminds me of the Lannister's family in GOT. I don't want to know whatever meaning you're reading to the support he received. What matters is the SUPPORT ITSELF.
He was the first governor to be elected twice in Osun state, but he forgot his hometown, Ilesa, in terms of development.
Like I said sometimes ago, politically, he's dead.
Only if you knew how Ifofin and Ogbon Arogbo suffered greatly for that ingrate called Aregbesola in 06/07, and how much Ilesa people suffered for him, only to forget us.
If you like when you get to the top, forget your people, forget those who stood for you in your journey to the top.....
Let me tell you again and again, nothing lasts forever.
Lastly, I was told Aregbesola begged before he voted yesterday at his polling unit (allegedly).
The update might be wrong, but he lost at his polling unit yesterday, and I'm extremely happy he lost.
laid by his predecessor, Aregbesola, and someone is expecting them(Osun people) to entrust the state affair with them.... I think it is impossible.
Even if Awolowo and Bola Ige campaign for them, they might still lose.
(one of my friends told me emphatically in 2006 that Aregbesola would continue where Bisi Akande stopped), to Oyetola, who continue the destruction of functionality of LG (though Adeleke to should be questioned why he failed to pay the sacked LG executive off),
TINUBU and Apc have greater work to do in future to win Osun state. From Bisi Akande, who sacked most of our parents, to that fool, Aregbesola, who paid civil servant half salary
I was challenged by a process on Thursday. Though I blamed the party and the individual involved, the greater blame was hurled at myself - what's stopping me from participating actively in politics?..... i hope i work on this.
