I really like how I budget my personal money.
I evolved from using exact figures to now using buckets and it’s such a life saver.
I’m able to maneuver my way around and don’t feel like I’m out of cash because I’m so aware of what’s going on
A lot of people have been asking how they can invest in the automotive industry. This is a simple way to get guaranteed returns with zero risks.
We have done this for 3 years with over 10 investors that keep reinvesting.
Please retweet.
Dear tech founders and product people think about this for next week’s task
I looked at a founder’s Amplitude setup recently and counted 43 events.
Screen views, button taps, scroll depth, everything.
Then I asked him one question. Where do your paying users come from?
Silence.
All that data and no answers. This is where most tracking setups end up, because the tools don’t make you smart, the events do.
If I’m setting up tracking for any app today, I start with five events before anything else.
Signup completed. Not installs. Installs are what ad platforms sell you, signups are humans who showed intent. The gap between those two numbers tells you if your onboarding is chasing people away.
Activation. The one action that means someone truly used your product. First deposit if you’re fintech, first lesson if you’re edtech. If you can’t name yours right now, that’s the first problem to fix.
First transaction. The moment a user becomes money. Every marketing decision you make should trace back to this event.
Repeat transaction. One purchase is curiosity, two is a customer. Your best ad audiences come from this event, not from installs.
Drop off. Where users leave and never come back. You cannot fix churn you cannot see.
Send these five to your ad platforms and watch your campaigns stop chasing downloads and start chasing revenue.
Everything else can wait.
@thekenndubisi Thanks for the post. Been procrastinating on going all out. Let’s say I’ve launched the highest spend thus far. I could afford it o but but🤦♀️😕
Good morning my neighbours.
I was invited by Zikoko to answer questions about branding, design, freelancing, portfolios, career growth, navigating the creative industry or anything else you've been wondering.
Please drop your questions in the comments. Thank you!
First, I could be wrong. That said…
In my opinion, experiential marketing is basically creating an immersive experience of a brand, so people can interact with it or have a very similar experience in real time.
Event marketing is promoting a brand through an event.
An event can include experiential marketing, but not all events include this.
Experiential marketing can be done within an event or without it.
To avoid a long story, I’d rather paint a scenario.
——
I work with an AI company and we generate AI avatars. (Simplified version for this use case)
- If we host an event, gather people and simply talk about our avatars and their use case, that is event marketing.
- If we bring in speakers to also talk about the industry, etc…that is event marketing alone.
- If we have a booth where we only show people what our avatars look like and what they can do with it but they need to sign up (or commit) before using it, that is event marketing alone.
Why? You were exposed to a product at an event.
BUT
- if we have a booth where people can create their avatars in real time, that is experiential marketing within an event.
- if we have a way they can just stand and listen and avatar of them will show on the screen, that is experiential marketing within an event.
Why? They experienced the product itself within an event.
Now, think of platforms like Amazon…where you can go there to buy a wardrobe and they give you an option to see how it looks like in your room…or to try on a shoe virtually without buying it yet… that is experiential marketing WITHOUT an event.
Why? You experienced the product from your own room, without buying it.
So they can both happen together, and they can both happen alone. Experiential marketing is simply about creating a direct, immersive experience, regardless of where it happens.
Please pardon any typo. Typing this while speeding up to catch my train 😭😭
