I recently read about an artist who:
• Is reportedly worth $150M
• Has a higher net worth than Adele
• Sold more records than One Direction
• Only left her house 2x in the last decade
Her story is intriguing, let’s see if you know who I’m talking about:
@beinguren@BasedLagos07@Brett_Designer@tife_olayinka If you meet a Nigerian informally and they introduce themselves, chances are they are already using the short form with you. He's a lecturer, so he's looking at their official names. It's okay to ask if there's a short version and if they don't mind him using that.
@beinguren@Brett_Designer@tife_olayinka Nigerians usually have several variations of their names, it's normal, so we don't find it rude if you ask if there's a short form.
If someone takes offense, it's probably how you asked. Don't ask for the short form, ask IF there's a short form.
Did you know that Obafemi Awolowo University has produced some of Nigeria's most notable tech talents?
In fact, startups with OAU alumni founders have been involved in 25% of deals done by Nigerian-educated CEOs.
