Best wishes to team @NDTV on relaunch of its logo, a new look and tagline. NDTV is the pioneer of TV journalism in India and was, until a few years ago, considered a benchmark of good journalism. With its brand relaunch, I hope it lives upto its huge legacy and ideals it was build on.
Wishing my young colleague & former DDC member Lolab/Sogam @LoneNasir_ a very happy birthday & all best wishes for a bright future. Keep shining Nasir.
This “we are Gen Z” has become the new “jaantay nahin ho mera baap kaun hai”. The quickest way to erode any Gen Z goodwill is to start using it as a threat at the slightest perceived affront.
Appreciated the opportunity to meet with Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah and to learn more about his priorities. We discussed ways to deepen economic collaboration and create opportunities that would mutually benefit both of our nations.
It was a pleasure to receive @USAmbIndia Sergio Gor in Srinagar today. We had a very good conversation about the possibilities that exist to widen & deepen the engagement between J&K & the United States of America, particularly in areas like tourism, horticulture & the new economy. I look forward to continuing this engagement & taking our conversation forward.
Wishing my colleague & young (ish 😃) MLA @salmanalisagar a very happy birthday. May you be blessed with a long life in the service of the people Salman & may you continue to work hard and go from strength to strength.
I join my father & my colleagues in condemning, in the strongest possible terms, the heinous attack on @officeofssbadal earlier today. Such attacks have no place & no justification in a democracy. What is shocking is that after Sukhbir survived an attempted assassination attempt in Amritsar earlier, nothing seems to have been done to protect him better.
7 years, we haven’t forgotten & we haven’t reconciled far less accepted our current circumstances. My party & I remain committed to reversing all that was done to J&K that took away our rights & threatens our identity. “The woods are lovely, dark & deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep……..”
Chief Minister has expressed deep concern over the road accident at Gund, Kangan, in which several pilgrims returning to Srinagar after performing the Yatra were injured. He has directed that the injured be provided the best possible medical care and deputed Health Minister @sakinaitoo to visit SKIMS and oversee their treatment.
You are absolutely correct about the SSB paper leak in J&K @JPNadda ji but you have got the date wrong. It was 2022. The government wasn’t of NC & Congress. It was a government headed by Lt. Governor but thank you for reminding everyone of this failure. It involved these observations & orders of the J&K High Court. We have no idea what happened to the High Level Committee or its report. Perhaps you can share that with us in your next press conference.
#WATCH | Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda says, "If I talk about the paper leak in the Service Selection Board examination in Jammu and Kashmir where the government is of Congress and NC of National Conference. Similarly, in Himachal Pradesh, the paper leak happened in Himachal Pradesh School Examination Board where the government is of Congress. Similarly, in Jharkhand, Hindi and Science papers were leaked in JAC where the government is of Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. In Telangana, the language paper of Intermediate was leaked and there too we know that the government is supported by Congress and CPI. In Telangana, the language paper was leaked in SSC and there too the government is supported by Congress Party and CPI. In Tamil Nadu, the paper leak happened in the B.Ed course paper of what we call Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University Board, there was an opposition government there too at that time. In West Bengal, the recruitment exam paper of Police Constable was leaked. There was a TMC government there at that time. In Punjab, the Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board experienced paper leaks and malpractices in the Group B examination. Similarly, in Keralam, irregularities occurred in 26 PSC exam papers. In Karnataka, where the Congress government is, there was a paper leak in the Preparatory Board exam. The PUC paper was leaked. This is a fairly long list, which we'll want to discuss whenever it's time. I'd like to ask the LoP Rahul Gandhi, why are you so selective? Why haven't you discussed the UPA and UPA-supported governments? Why have you distanced yourself from them? This clearly shows that your objective isn't the welfare of students. Your objective is to improve education, improve the quality of education, and ensure justice for students. You're not interested in this. You want to gain political mileage from student issues and demands. You want to make political gains, which is unfortunate..."
It is astonishing that the BJP’s Minister @JPNadda Sb would make a claim so divorced from the facts.
The J&K recruitment paper leak happened in 2022 under the Lieutenant Governor’s administration which means directly under you, when there was no elected government. The present government assumed office only in October 2024. If Nadda sb cannot distinguish between the Lieutenant Governor’s administration and an elected government, he has no business lecturing anyone. If he does know the facts, then this is a deliberate attempt to deceive the people of the country.
Deeply saddened by the death in the line of duty of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain of IRP 3rd Battalion J&K Police. HC Hussain made the ultimate sacrifice in a cowardly terror attack in Anantnag area of South Kashmir. I unequivocally condemn this attack & send my heartfelt condolences to the members of his family. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat.
Chief Minister has expressed deep anguish over the tragic loss of seven lives in a landslide at Domail Dhok, Nandichool Loran, Poonch. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister has deputed @JavedRanaa and @satishsharmajnk to visit the affected areas in Rajouri and Poonch and personally oversee relief and rehabilitation efforts. As an immediate measure of support, the Chief Minister has also announced ex gratia relief of ₹6 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased, comprising ₹4 lakh from the State Disaster Response Fund and ₹2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Glad to share that, after the successful enhancement of MBBS seats at Government Medical College Jammu and Government Medical College Srinagar, approval has now been accorded for an additional 50 MBBS seats at Government Medical College Rajouri, increasing its intake capacity from 100 to 150 seats.
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Jb Omar Abdullah Sb, we remain committed to strengthening medical education, expanding opportunities for aspiring doctors, and building a stronger, more accessible healthcare system for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
@OmarAbdullah

VIDEO | Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah holds protest in the national capital for J&K statehood.
J&K Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, says, "It is the misfortune of the people of Jammu and Kashmir that today we have to come to Delhi to protest and remind our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of their promise. You promised the people of Jammu and Kashmir that you would restore statehood after the elections. Today, it has been nearly a year and a half, and neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister has fulfilled that promise. To make them honor that commitment, the National Conference, the Congress, and all our other partner parties have come together to Delhi today to remind them that after nearly a year and a half since the Omar Abdullah government was formed, yet you are not fulfilling your promise.' You will have to fulfill this promise. You made it in Parliament, you made it in the Supreme Court, and you made it to every single child in Jammu and Kashmir that you would restore statehood. When will that 'appropriate time' of yours finally come? We have come to Delhi today just to find out the answer to this."
